Petition to Support Ms. Huan Ll's Visa Application

We, the undersigned, are writing to express our support for Ms. Huan Ll, whose recent visa application was (we believe) unjustly refused by the Department of Home Affairs. This decision was based on a misunderstanding of the legal requirements outlined in Part 609 of Schedule 6D of the Migration Regulations regarding Credentialed Community Language (CCL) qualifications.

Ms. Ll is a dedicated Early Childhood Teacher, holding a Master of Teaching (Early Childhood) from the University of South Australia and a Master of Science in Social Work from Flinders University. Since December 2022, she has been a valuable member of the team at Nido Early School in Adelaide, where our children attend and she has made significant contributions to our children’s development and the community. Her responsibilities include developing educational plans, fostering community relationships, and ensuring the safety and well-being of the children in her care. Her teaching methods have created a comforting and familiar environment for our children, making her continued presence crucial for their stability and development.

Without state nomination, Ms. Ll will be forced to leave South Australia, which would not only be a loss for us, our children, Nido and the general community but also exacerbate the existing shortage of qualified educators in our state, as South Australia faces challenges in the early childhood education sector, the presence of qualified educators is vital for ensuring high-quality care and education, for the future generations in our state.
In light of these considerations, we respectfully urge you to review Ms. Ll's contributions to South Australia and provide her with another opportunity for state nomination. Her commitment to her profession and the community makes her an invaluable asset to our state.
