Petition for Permitted Use of Pyrotechnics During Christmas and New Year's Holidays in the Republic of Croatia
We, the undersigned citizens of the Republic of Croatia, believe that it is important to allow responsible and safe use of pyrotechnic devices during the New Year's and Christmas holidays, while respecting legal regulations that ensure the safety, health, and well-being of all citizens and animals. Therefore, we request that the legal framework for the use of pyrotechnics be adapted to the needs of citizens, with an emphasis on responsible behavior and respect for safety measures.
Reasons for this petition:
1. Preservation of tradition and cultural heritage: Pyrotechnics are an important part of the celebration of New Year's and Christmas holidays, which is practiced in many parts of the world and is based on the tradition of celebration. Maintaining this custom contributes to cultural identity and community.
2. Safe use of pyrotechnics: There is a wide range of pyrotechnic devices that are safe to use, provided that safety guidelines are followed. We believe that the use of these products should be allowed with strict control and supervision measures, such as age and areas of use, along with education and responsibility of users.
3. Ensuring responsible use: We call for stricter penalties for irresponsible use of pyrotechnics, including the use of prohibited devices and firing in inappropriate conditions. We also propose a greater presence of preventive campaigns to educate citizens about safety and environmental protection.
4.Maintaining a balance between safety and freedom of enjoyment: While we support regulations that protect the environment and the safety of all citizens, we believe it is important to allow citizens the freedom to enjoy traditional customs, including the use of pyrotechnics, in accordance with responsibility towards the environment and people.
We demand:
Free use of safe and controlled pyrotechnics during Christmas and New Year's holidays, with clearly defined rules and conditions.
Expanding the availability of pyrotechnic devices that are safe to use, while simultaneously prohibiting those that pose a danger to safety and health.
Holding public and educational campaigns that raise awareness about the safe use of pyrotechnics.
Introducing stricter penalties for improper use and irresponsible behavior when using pyrotechnic devices.
Respecting the traditions and customs of celebrations, with responsibility towards the community.
We invite all citizens who agree with these demands to sign this petition and support our initiative for the responsible use of pyrotechnics in the Republic of Croatia.
