JUSTICE FOR NOORDELAND GIRLS!

N Noordeland rules are not fair · ZA

It's unfair for schools to police the way Black girls wear their hair, especially when it comes to things like edges, braids, or protective styles. These aren't just "looks" - they're part of our culture, our identity, and our history. Asking us to remove edges or forcing us to look a certain type of way isn't about professionalism or neatness, it's about erasing who we are. Our hair is a form of self-expression and pride, and trying to control it sends the message that our natural beauty and cultural style aren't acceptable. Schools should be a place where we feel safe, not somewhere we're told to hide our identity just to fit into someone else's idea of what's "appropriate."
