PETITION TO STABILISE WADEVILLE'S ELECTRICITY INFRASTRUCTURE
We, the undersigned residents of Germiston, demand that the Gauteng Provincial Government and the City of Ekurhuleni immediately intervene in the Wadeville power crisis.
Wadeville is a strategic manufacturing and logistics hub. Losing R500 000.00 a day due to power cuts will end in tragedy for hundreds of employees and thousands of dependents.
We demand:
- A strategic, planned intervention between the Gauteng Provincial Government and the City of Ekurhuleni;
- A meeting between affected business owners and Gauteng Premier, Panyaza Lesufi; and
- An enforceable timeline that business owners can plan around.
If this crisis is not addressed with the urgency it deserves, hundreds will lose their jobs. We cannot allow that to happen.
