 What a shame for WJAC TV !!!   When you thought of WJAC, you automatically thought of him! He promoted the station in so many ways. He worked with the community. What a loss for WJAC!!!   I hope you reverse your decision!!

I appreciate Jim for his knowledge , professionalism and his great personality he portrays. Excellent meteorologist. I definitely would watch WJAC any day over WTAJ because of Mr. Burton. The decision is yours WJAC or WTAJ

Wjac has lost a lot of viewers due to the fact that that they keep letting seasoned vets go for fresh " cheap" newbies that quite frankly suck... not everything is about the almighty dollar... WJAC.. u owe every Viewer an apology. .

WJAC needs to provide a reason for letting Jim Burton go. If it was his decision, so be it, but as a "responsible" media source, the viewers are entitled to an explanation. Bring him back asap.

A slip of the tongue can cost your job. I don't think he ment anything about his comment. This happened to me too so I'm behind him 100%. He lost his by commenting about Lindsey's cleavage. I lost my by saying I'd like to kick someone's ass. My thing is like and doing is two different things. So I'm behind him all the way. What happened to writing someone up first offence

Firing someone for a slip of the tongue is wrong. He didn't mean anything by his comment about Lindsey's cleavage. Write him up and get over it. I won't watch your news anymore. This happened to my wife a dedicated worker. Write them up council them don't destroy there life.

I think Jim helped the station save face after the Jay Patrick scandal. At least that is when I started watching channel 6 news again.

To my understanding They let Mr.Burton go because he said something off color not 

 knowing he was on air,truth or just a rumor,who knows. I start my day everyday with the news,Jim Burton was a part of that morning routine and like family he was part of that routine,I would like to say he was our local celebrity,a big part of our community and he should have been at least given a chance to go out with grace.

I am a former business owner and I realize there are many issues involved in letting employees go but I feel the public has a right to know what has happened in this case .

Because it is unbelievable that he would be fired over that mishap-- perhaps asked to apologize tonthe n listening public, given a few days off, but not fired. That is ridiculous. And don't get me started on Josh...OH MY GOODNESS...........

Jim was one of the best guys at WJAC. I always watched him starting at 5 am.
