Think it's really unfair of West berkshire to make.this choice I for one don't agree with it!! Their will be a big increase of fly tipping which then means West berks have to come and clear it any way which again costs money! It's a joke

After July 1st, I can no longer dispose of waste at RE3 in reading. This facility takes 10 minutes down the motorway, disposing in Newbury will take 30 minutes drive each way and be very carbon emissions unfriendly . I realise I can use the facility at padworth, but it does not take all waste. This decision is unfair and I can honestly see an increase in fly tipping. Please reconsider.

I live in Burghfield Common and I would have to drive to Newbury or Basingstoke to dispose of household rubbish. It defeats the object if my carbon footprint increases because I have to travel to different sites. I use Padworth recycling centre, if I only have green waste/recyclables, and I don't think it is environmentally friendly to have to travel so far to dispose of my household waste, when Smallmead tip is close by.

I'm increasingly unsure why I even pay council tax. Another idiotic decision by WBC which can only promote further fly-tipping, unmanageable waste and an increase in scavengers.

A poor decision from WBC. It will mean more flytipping which will cost the council more money to clear up! Not to mention the increase in carbon footprint in making residents travel 30 mins there and back instead of just 10mins!

Not allowing residents in Burghfield and Mortimer use the Smallmead site will result in more fly tipping costing WBC more. Plus having to do a 30mile round trip to Newbury is environmentally unfriendly with extra traffic in the road etc ..

How can WBC be so crass as to ONLY cater for residents in or very near Newbury. How can a 50-plus minute round trip to the waste centre in Newbury possibly be considered "green" when it's less than half that to the Reading site. Fly tipping is a bad enough problem in our area without exacerbating the issue by forcing people away from the most obvious official site.

Because in my opinion it is complete unacceptable to expect residents of Burghfield to drive in excess of 25 miles to dump excess rubbish that cannot be collected during regular collections.

I was one of the (few) people who responded to the initial consultation and I'm shocked that WBC has failed to recognise the important role they have to play in supporting recycling by making it as accessible as possible for all residents - including those on the perimeters of the borough. Shame on you, WBC!

Travelling a further 27 miles to tip rubbish is unacceptable.
Please review making this payment or alternatively make a general waste disposal solution available at Padworth recycling centre

Because the tips at aldermaston and Newbury are further to travel and do not provide the same number of services as Reading

Because the distance I would have to travel to take my waste is 17 miles. I'd rather pay extra on my council tax to use the facilitie at smallmead.

Disappointed west Berks council believe a 26 mile round trip, taking over an hour is the best solution in order to save money. Why is our council tax being increased when our services are diminishing? Not only will it increase my carbon footprint but I strongly expect to see more fly tipping along our many narrow unlit roads and lanes.

I believe in recycling but if I have to do a 30 mile round trip to do it the pollution and fuel costs alone will outweigh any benefit.
