The ex HC judge Basanth does not deserve to serve the judiciary in any capacity. His name must be struck off from the roll. His utterances about the unfortunate girl are condemnable.

what he said was just a private talk. in fact the bloody journalist should have faced court for this fatherless act.

All in his talks he was repeatedly telling that he was just quoting the judgement and asked to read the judgement.
I can't see any point abusing him for that.

തിന്മയുടെ അച്ചുതണ്ടുകള്‍ എല്ലാ മേഖലയിലും, സര്‍വ നൈദികതകലെയും ചവിട്ടിത്തെച്ചു മുന്നോട്ടു പോകുന്നു !! നീതി നദപ്പവനമെന്നു ആഗ്രഹിക്കുന്നപാവം ജനംഗള്‍ക്ക് അവസാനത്തെ അതാണിയയിരുന്ന കോടതി പോലും എങ്ങനെയാണെന്ന് രണ്ടാഴ്ചയായി നമ്മള്‍ കാണുന്നു !!
ഉറക്കെ പറയാന്‍ തോന്നുന്നു ....... we are helpless .....
ദൈവമേ ഈ പാവം ജനങ്ങളെ ഒന്ന് രക്ഷിക്കു ഈ കട്ടളന്മാരുടെ കയ്യില്‍നിന്നും .... നിനക്കുമാത്രമേ അതിനു കഴിയൂ !

Wrong attitude of judges like him come from lack of empathy towards victim and lack of basic sense of justice.

I don't think Justice Basant is the only person who believes that a girl who loves someone more than her parents is "deviant / abnormal" and that she can not be raped, she can only be a prostitute. He is only voicing the judgements of a sick society that almost always criticizes the woman whenever there is an assault on her. Those who sign this petition would be only a minority among "We the citizens of Kerala".
