It wasn't wanted or needed by the population of Stalybridge. Just watch out for more plans being submitted with a different purpose, but ultimately still being used for the congregation of Muslims.

Should the place ever go ahead, just remember it is supposed to be for the community as a Multi-faith building and as such should be utilised by everyone, including non-Muslim residents. I'd say to all concerned, set up a darts night, Spanish class, baking club, dance lessons, whatever you are in to. Absolutely bombard the diary of the place and utilise it to its maximum capacity for anything that is the complete opposite of the Islamic way of life.

Life moves forward, people change. Islam is stuck in the dark ages with segregation of men and women that have equal rights.

Great news but I would remind everybody that our so called MP, Mr Jonathan Reynolds, wasn't prepared to give any help what so ever to those residents of Stalybridge that were against this Mosque. In fact he came out and stated that he didn't have a problem with this Mosque getting the go ahead. I think that it would be a good idea if we very clearly showed Mr Reynolds how we feel about his actions on this matter and come the next election when this guy comes calling asking for our votes we show him the same respect that he showed us and vote him out of office. It's MP's the like of him we can do without.
