I saw more than just 1 accident on that road were people was killed. I saw the accident on sunday the 13th of September were another 2 people died!!

One option not proposed is the introduction of traffic circles.

Traffic lights, stop and yield signs can easily be ignored, but circles force drivers to reduce speed and offer a safer entrance onto the R101.

Although the petition mentions illegal overtaking, it would be helpful demanding that the police focus more on moving traffic violations.

Metro police standing at the side of roads do little to prevent moving traffic violations.

I use the R101 road at least 2 times a day. We live in Waterval and need to travel to and from work every day. I've seen a lot of horrible accidents and was involved in one myself some years ago. Some road users just don't have any respect for road traffic rules or other road users. It is really time that something is done to make it saver for us using this road on a daily basis. Every day that we arrive home safely is a miracle!!

Cars driving reckless. Passing on white solid lines on blind rises. Heavy and unroadworthy vehicles trying to avoid toll roads. More people teaffic going north and south road not designed to handel the massive increase in volume. Hartzenberg

We are daily in the area and sea the hooligan driving and even squatting next to and opposite Spar no rules to obey on the road no speed control enforcement specialy the intersection with Lavender and the Highway offramp
