Dear JAMBs Supporters,  The State Legislature is still in session this month (July).  So far the two bills H3438 and S2115 have made it through a "Joint Committee" and are now in the Senate "Rules" and House "Third Reading" committees.  Here are the Committee Chairs:  Senate Rules:  [email protected] (617) 722-1410, House "Third Reading": [email protected], (617) 722-2410.  Certainly contact YOUR district rep and senator as they take notice of their consistuents' concerns.  Please note that most folks outside the Conn. River Valley have never heard of the JAMBs, so -- a special note to  "everyone" from those areas --  make a special effort to spread the word!  Did you know that Ferrero Rocher candies are great simulations of armored mud balls?  What a great treat!  I have sent samples to a number of state legislators, along with promo materials.  If you would like bumper stickers or promo post cards, please contact me.  

Want to see our wonderful "best-in-the-world" local geology up close?  I am running a "tourist" river trip on the "Heritage" pontoon boat Sept. 26 (Northfield to Turners, reserve via Greenfield Comm. College's Community Enrichment Workshop online form) and also come to the Great Falls Discovery Center (Turners Falls) on Aug. 15, 2 pm for an informative & fun program.

PS --  Our Mass Legislators are uniformly positive once they learn about the JAMBs.  However, there are many bills and it is possible the JAMBs could be forgotten at the bottom of the pile!!!  That is why your legislative efforts are important.
