I grew up on wholesome shows like The Waltons, Little House on the Prairie, Marcus Welby MD, Emergency, Medical Center. I love shows like 7th Heaven, Touched by an Angel, The Duggars and the Bates. I hated that UPN cancelled reruns of 7th Heaven because of one actors actions. It hurt the pay of the other actors. I still like the show despite what one person chose to do off camera. I love the Duggars values and I'm not afraid to let my grand daughter watch it becuase I no nothing inappropiate will pop up. I'm sick of having so much garbage on TV and we will not watch it in my house. It should tell you what the majority of the viewers want to watch based on the shows ratings. If I could, I would watch the Duggars until all the kids are married with children. The people that don't like it can just change the channel and don't ruin it for the rest of us. You have a 1000 channels that will show enough crap for people that want it.

 If I see something offensive to me...I change the channel.  Others have the same right.  If I don't agree with something I am viewing, I simply choose another program or activity.  Hmmm...Pretty simple!  I say leave the show alone.

I may not  believe in all the same things as they do (I believe in same sex rights), but I do love the show!  It is a reality show- this is thier lives and how they live it. 

#151: -  What a wonderful response, I feel the same.  Although I do believe, I don't see what the problem is.  I am not telling anyone how to live and neither are they.  The words you spoke are so profound, and to be honest, I don't think you are a total non-believer, because you are so willing to listen with an open heart and that says so much.   Reading your words says it perfectly, and I do believe that is the reason the Dugger's are out there, they are showing love and respect for everyone, even if their views are different from others, they are showing people what Christians should be doing instead of critizing non-believers.  You are a very wise person, I am praying for you and thanks for posting.

I really don't think TLC is going to cancel the Duggars! 19 Kids is bringing in to much money for them and I have no problem with that! I would much rather for the Duggars to get paid than boo-boo or anybody like that! When TLC aired Jill & Derrick's wedding it was the most viewing audience there ever was and more than likely when they air Jessa and Ben's it is going to be even more. Yes, we do need to sign the petition for them to stay on but unless the Duggar's themselves make the decision of leaving then I don't think they are going anywhere. I hope I'm not wrong!
