I signed this petition because we clearly need this department as it is a big city and It goes further afield with the the other towns that WILL be affected just think of the elderly people who are to frail to travel a distance children that ARE very poorly THE ambulance service that will be stretched even more there are a lot of factor's please reconsider the closure of the Huddersfield royal infirmary

I have travelled to Halifax over the last 3 months to visit my brother who is in the stroke unit there .I know that the travelling time from the Honley area is, on a good day 40 minutes. In an emergency this amount of time could be a matter of life and death. A town the size of Huddersfield without a doubt should have an A and E department.
To save the lives of Huddersfield people please keep our A and E

At the moment it takes me 26 minutes to reach the A&E dept in Huddersfield. If it moves to Halifax it will take me 48 minutes to reach an A&E department. This is not acceptable. Huddersfield A&E services a large population. It is extremely good and saved my life 5 years ago
