I agree with CURB's goals and position wholeheartedly.  Unfortunately, almost every message on this board is simply a statement of opinion by lay folks on the lake.  Lay interpretations of State law, Federal law, etc, posted on a site like this will get us nowhere.  CURB must work on spreading the word of these injustices, initially to the thousands of shoreline property owners around Smith Mountain Lake, and then doing some serious (read "expensive") lobbying of local politicians if we are going to go up againast AEP and change anything.  If everyone on the lake gave $10 to CURB, we would have a sizeable budget to hire attorneys to fight these tyrants.

How about it?.

I have been dealing with a dock issue since 2010 and have not resolved it yet. With AEP it is their way or the highway! Property owners have no rights or opinions.

You are making property on the lake useless
If one lives on the lake they want to beable to see it. Also blocking the view is potentially dangerous for observing swimmers and your dock is totally hidden encouraging vandals
