We, the undersigned, demand that HSL ensures effective, accessible, and reliable public transport connections in Kulosaari, even after the termination of line 16.
Long walking distances and accessibility issues particularly hinder the mobility of the elderly, families with children, and those with mobility challenges.
The 2027 renovations of the metro bridges and the 2028 renewal of Kulosaari Bridge highlight the necessity for functional connections.
We demand:
1. Arrangement of internal transfer traffic in Kulosaari to key interchange points.
- Ensuring connections from Kulosaari to the city center with sufficiently frequent and accessible public transport during metro disruptions.
- Exploring the trial of minibuses or autonomous buses during the 2027 metro disruptions and, if necessary, during the 2028 bridge construction work.
- Considering the impact of disruptions in traffic planning well in advance.
Residents of Kulosaari have the right to effective, accessible, and reliable public transport.
