Derriford Hospital Car Parking
Staff side trade unions at Plymouth Hospitals NHS Trust have reluctantly decided to initiate a campaign against the unreasonable increase in car parking charges proposed for staff at the Derriford Hospital site. Staff are very much opposed to such a large hike in charges which comes on top of continued NHS pay cuts. Staff side did suggest a compromise of a phased increase over a period of three years. The PHNT Trust Board rejected our proposal and have decided to more than double staff parking costs From £1.20 Per day to £2.50 per day with further increases possible over the next two years.
