Petition for Urgent General Meeting
To the Board, Members, and Staff of SEARMS,
We, the Budawang Aboriginal Corporation (BAC), as a corporate member of SEARMS, are petitioning for a general meeting of SEARMS to be convened under section 4.3 of the SEARMS Constitution.
As Corporate Members, acting on behalf of BAC members, we believe that the transfer of all Budawang’s properties to SEARMS was done without a duly constituted general meeting of the members of theBAC.
We no longer accept the status quo and our members demand prompt action from BAC. We propose the following resolutions:
1. SEARMS Board to work with BAC to conduct a full forensic audit of the transfer of our properties.
2. Release all findings to the BAC members.
3. Conduct a forensic audit of the Budawang finances.
4. While this audit is conducted, SEARMS should act by the executed Deed of Transfer.
5. SEARMS Board to acknowledge and action the BAC’s members' resolution to fully return all properties to BAC management.
