We, the players, want DISTRAINT 3

We have reached over 500 signatures!

Well done everyone, over 500 people have already expressed their interest in a new entry to the DISTRAINT series!

Of course, the situation in the games industry is incredibly difficult. There is an extreme amount of competition, while money is tight for players all around the world, mostly due to war and animosity between peoples - which is often caused by online campaigns where people without conscience just abuse the fact that social media content spreads best if it is as controversial as possible - Inciting hate is much easier than inciting love!

But we as gamers are united in our love for games, and we love to play games from creators located all across the world, because the cultural nuances they bring to their games are really what makes life interesting! We don't want the same greyish slop every day, we want games prepared with passion and their own unique touch - just like DISTRAINT 1 & 2 and the other games of our favourite Finn, Jesse Makkonen!

So let's show Jesse that we are down to buy DISTRAINT 3 if he makes it especially for us! After all, he too has a family to feed. So let's all rally behind him and pledge our support to this game, that will ultimately only cost each single one of us the same amount as a fancy coffee at a branded chain store café, but to Jesse, it will be a livelyhood for his family. That ist the power of the gaiming community :D

Thank you so much for your contribution to this petition! The Distraint series has many fans all around the world, but same as with everything in the life of a self-publishing indie game developer, the difficult thing is to reach people at all.

Jesse has said that he would need signatures more in the lower thousands than hundreds in order to feel safe enough to start work on DISTRAINT 3. And I'm absolutely convinced we could get there in absolutely no time, if only more people knew about this petition and its significance. So if you're able and willing to help out, just spread the word on your socials - that would be SO AWESOME :D
