Chers signataires de la pétition a l’appui de l'Institut des sciences mathématiques,
Je suis heureuse d'annoncer que, il y a quelques jours, le ministère de l'Enseignement supérieur du Québec a présenté un financement annuel accru pour l'Institut pour la période 2016-2018.
Nous restons en contact avec le ministère pour assurer la continuité de nos programmes et activités au-delà du 1er mai 2018 lorsque la période de financement prend fin et nous espérons que la démonstration de soutien de la communauté mathématique entraînera un résultat positif pour les décisions futures en matière de financement, comme cela a été le cas pour la présente résolution.
Je tiens à vous remercier tous pour votre soutien précieux accordé à l'ISM en signant la pétition !

Dear signataries of the petition in support of the Institut des sciences mathématiques,
I am happy to announce that a few days ago the Ministry of Higher Education of Québec has come forward with an increased annual funding for the Institut for the 2016-2018 period.
We remain in contact with the Ministry to insure the continuity of our programs and activities beyond May 1st 2018 when the funded period ends and we have hope that the show of support of the mathematical community will drive a positive outcome for the future decisions on funding as it did for the present resolution.
I want to thank you all for your invaluable support given to the ISM by signing the petition!
