Abolish Reservations at Seattle Public Outdoor Tennis Courts

For years, public, outdoor tennis courts in Seattle were available on a first-come-first-served basis. More recently, the city has allowed people to reserve public outdoor courts. This change has not been helpful, causing much confusion and disruption. Many players have experienced the frustration of showing up early to get a court, playing for a short while and then being kicked off by someone who showed up later, did not wait their turn and who claims to have a reservation.

We demand and end to reservations on public, outdoor tennis courts. All courts should be available only on a first-come-first-served basis.
