Most ratepayers pay their dues every month, we all love this city and wants it to progress, but we don't get the same message from City Hall, they don't communicate with us, the least we would expect is for them to apologize and to communicate with us through the press and the radio to keep us informed, not even that, is this the way to treat loyal and law abiding citizens. The river behind Berea gardens complex stinks to high heaven could this be healthy for the old age living there I would imagine this be the easiest way to get rid of them I believe there is no respect for the elderly any more pity that is not written in the bible "children look after the old age"

Signed the petition, enough now. Mdantsane is dirty & smelly, E.L also. Can anyone please tell me what the hell is a 14th cheque? I thought 13 cheques were paid to employees annually.

Anarchy, Undisciplined behaviour, Social degradation
Unfortunately in our society, the instigators of this anti-social behaviour are not dealt with by the authorities. The ill discipline of those in authority is hardly an example to follow so bad attitudes spill over into all spheres of society. Accountability is not valued by our leaders. The politicization of our local authorities has made the municipalities ungovernable. Warring factions focus on selfish gains and intimidation of others instead of provision of good services. Where will it all end?

A 14th Cheque is a Performance Bonus, how can anyone associated with Buffalo City be awarded a performance bonus, even before the strike the city was a mess, the grass is never cut, streets are potholed and strewn with rubbish. I resent paying my rates and taxes as we get nothing in return.

I pay rates and taxes but have to clear the bush and cut the grass in my street and over the road myself.

BCMM stands for Bullsh*t Corruption Maladministration and Mess - and boy is it living up to this name!!!!! Well done Madam Mayor - you and your administration are showing just how useless and incompetent you really are - time for the lot of you to be fired and decent, honest, experienced people put in all the key positions - then perhaps we as residents will be proud to live in this once beautiful city that you have totally destroyed. STOP TRASHING OUR CITY
I work in Cambridge Street and have been deeply saddend and disappointed by the behaviour of the Municipal workers. A 14th cheque is earned, not demanded. What have they done to earn a 14th cheque? Our city looks terrible at the best of times, not to mention now. They are not worried about loss of income because WHEN they do eventually clean up, they will earn overtime so will make up the loss of income while they were on strike! Their behaviour last week was a total disgrace. We had to endure the firing of stun grenades, move our vehicles so they werent damaged by passers by and even suffered the side effects of the tear gas that came into our building, not to mention the traffic jams caused by the strike. To make matters worse we witnessed them being brought to the strike on the back of municipal trucks!!! The trucks were parked in Station Street all day and then used to go home afterwards. I even took pics cause this kind of abuse completely blows my mind. WE ARE NOWHERE NEAR BEING A METROLPOLITAN!

It would appear the ANC part, is too incompetent to rectify the matter whilst the COSATU part is bent on the destruction of that which itself controls.
Wake up South Africa time to dump both of these morons.
