This is an invaluable learning opportunity for our children.

This centre offers valuable support, friendship and signposting of services to an extremely wide and diverse range of families in our village and surrounding areas. The work achieved and families supported by such a small and dedicated team is essential to the villages in the area it covers. Rural communities need this support as much if not more than urban sprawls yet they are alway the first to be cut and people left isolated. Our community needs this children's centre.

What a loss...

I cannot believe this is proposed.  The children centre does such an amazing job.  I am so much more confident than I used to be...  my boy is happy in nursery and they have helped us a lot.

I will be so sad if it goes . I tell all my friends about how lovely they all are.

I won't go to another centre - its to far away and I just won't know anyone.

it is a sad day today.  I just heard that the Centre is going to close.  My children love it here and the staff are very gentle and encouraging.

Please don't close the Centre.  I am not going to travel to Farnham or Haslemere - Elstead is my commjunity.

I have 2 children - one of my boys has challenging behavir.  The Centre has really helped me to cope and they don't judge me.  I now take my boys out to groups - I didnot do this before because I was scared.

I don't have a car and so I can't get to other places - so I will just stay in again.

I'm a foster carer and these services are vital as they provide much needed support to local children and families/ carers at an important development stage.

Because we should be investing in our childrens future. Great child development projects like this one are an investment rather than a liability. They provide our children with many practical and social skills required to give them self confidence. Ultimately resulting in them sustaining the ability to work and drive our future economy.

It is very important that the centre stays open

i live in Elstead and I have used the Centre a lot.  They have really helped me.  Elstead is a lovely place to live, and we do not all have lots of money.  I don't have a car and so I can't get to another Centre.  They have helped me to get my eldest dAughter into nursery and the staff are really lovely.

please save the Centre.

This offers a great service to many young families in Elstead. This is needed for people in the community who are don't have the financial support of others.

The Elstead SureStart centre hosted a fantastic First Aid course for Babies. I was really impressed by it's modern facilities and access. A real waste if this great centre was to close.

I believe most strongly that if we can support families with young children at an early stage, we can prevent some problems from occurring. The sustained individual support for targeted families, by our children centres, can have a huge impact on breaking the cycle of dysfunction, leading to better school attendance and achievement of the children.

Elstead and Villages Sure Start Childrens Centre

This centre provides an invaluable service to the community of both Elstead and surrounding villages.  I have found them to be so supportive of me and my children, one of which has hearing and speech problems.  It is so lovely to know that there are people out there who welcome us at the centre and do whatever they can (on already limited budgets I might add) to make life just a little easier.   Their advice has also been invaluable to me. I do not believe we would have an alternative place to take our children as we do not have any other centres in the surrounding area.  Please find somewhere else to make cuts.  The loss of this centre will surely be felt by many!

When I didn't even have the money for a toddler group, this centre's work in Wrecclesham provided me and my son with a place to go to meet other people in a non-judgemental setting, providing socialisation and companionship for both of us.
