Re-sentence this barbarian! A life is a life. A sentient being. You are not setting a good, strong enough example by letting this behaviour having nothing more than a slight tap on the wrist. It's a status symbol for him, and you can guarantee when he's out he will have another helpless creature to bully. Teach him a lesson and upon his eventual release monitor him closely!!!!

80 days is a ridiculous sentence - It's known that those who cause harm to animals often go on to harm people. A decent sentence would be a deterrent both to others to prevent this from happening again and to him to stop him causing harm to anybody or anything else. I hope that after this more people consider getting a rescue dog - this might have been the kind of thing they were subjected too!

It is disgusting, if he had done this to a child he would be getting more than 80 days. Why should we look at this as any different? The poor puppy will never get over this. We have a dog who was ill treated when she was a puppy and 9 years later she is still frightened about certain things in case something bad happens to her. They never forget.

Absolute disgrace, 80 days in prison is nothing for a crime like this. If he can do this to a puppy he will probably do worse to a child. Get him off the streets for a long time! The sentence passed on him is a joke!

Thank god that there was a neighbour brave enough to record the evil deeds he lashed out on the poor pup or he would have gotten away with it .... there are no words to describe him i hope karma was watching ...and the rspca inspector now has a new forever friend xxx     the sentence is a joke and it also doesn't stop a girlfriend-sister-mother etc from having a pet living at the same adress as him

This man needs to be resentanced 80 days for for nearly killing a defencless little puppy is absolutely disgusting. And as for being banned from having animals for 7 yrs weres the justice in that? He should never be able to lay eyes on an other animal for the rest if his life! I hope he gets wots coming to him in jail! Evil scumbag! At least the puppy as got a loving home that Willkie and care for him for ever! Lets gets some justice for him!!
