Install bollards outside all shops with perpendicular car parks!

My life has been forever changed because of a lack of bollards. This petition is so very important to help prevent injury or loss of life in the future.

To support Karlas plea for safer shopping environments for our community.

Karla is my very special daughter- in -law.. It is nearly 4 months since an unfortunate accident turned her life upside down. This accident could have been avoided had their been bollards there. Karla's journey back to full health is a long one. With support from her husband ( my son) and the commitment from her parents to put their lives on hold . Together with the love from her amazing children Karla is showing courage to get well and by leading this petition ensuring that no one else will be hurt in the future.

Because people's lives are worth far more than the cost of a bollard. This is a simple way to stop what has happened too many times.

I reluctantly shop at Tarewa centre now with my children, I can shop online with both the baby shops that are there & will continue to do so until this shopping area is made safer for pedestrians!

Sensible precaution

This was an horrific accident and with bollards would more than likely not have happened.

I have seen first hand how dangerous this type of parking can be. Unfortunately it always seems to be older drivers involved.Pedestrians have a right to be safe when shopping.This type of parking should not be allowed if the footpath & shopfronts cannot be safe.

There needs to be something done to prevent this in the future.. so much heart ache for such a simple fix!!

I have my hair cut at a salon where this happened. I'd like to think I am safe from cars as I sit getting my hair done!!

Having met Karla during a stay in hospital and seeing what this accident had done to her and her daughter I give my support 110% to installing bollards in these situations, and seeing them installed. All the very best Karla..

Stop mindless accidents that gravely affect innocent people.

Because my hairdresser is at risk of having someone drive straight through the front of it.

it makes perfect sense to install bollards before anyone else is either more severely injured or killed.......there have now been two bad accidents ......what will it take for the council to act......a death.

Bollards to be installed for safety reasons to the public.

This family belong to my local school & community & I see this woman still on her crutches unable to drive her children to school. A completely avoidable accident.
