I wholly agree with the paper and see it as an attempt to make European Union move in the right direction, towards a just and efficient community, and away from inequality; towards a happy Europe for all, not for few.

A society that cannot guarantee free healthcare, or even housing, and basic necessities to the people, especially but not only so during a crisis like this, is a society that needs profound changing. People are what matter, not economies

Without coordinated, global action, this crisis will once again deepen the disparity between the rich and the poor, and will destabilize the western society even further. The current social contract is strained to the extreme anyway, because the benefits of globalization, technological progress and automation of industry are reaped only by select few, while the rest of the populace sinks into the bog of creeping poverty. Act with generosity, share, help the weak and the endangered, and in turn, be rewarded with stable, happy, and strong society. Turn the economy into a whip used to accelerate production and consumption into insane frenzy, and watch both communities and ecosystems crumble and whither. You have been given the responsibility, so act now!

The situation is tragical and its end is too far to be seen. So many people have lost their lifes and so many will be casualties in the next months. EU should be much more active. All aims are important. Moreover, there should be cooperation in testing of the infected which should reach the amount of 1 milion daily in the EU sum, because without massive testing there is no real picture of the pandemic. There should be a massive support of the research leading to find new efficients antivirotics and vaccines. There should be a massive support of the damaged economics and afflicted citizens.
